“ A Clash “ ...

” A Clash “

by Suzán Jiván Mom
& Mom-Mom Suzán

A clash is expected
under the influence
of residual mysteries
for once and for all,
“All for one
and one for all”
buzzing with energy
having abandoned
far-flung kvetches
upon entering eternal rests
where, “All are welcome “
choruses playing overhead
“Come and get it!”
overall effectiveness
gently held together
softer textures
gentler hand gestures
footsteps
delicately ancestral...

“ Set to Tilt “ ...

“ Set to Tilt “

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

Set to tilt into the parlor
having once been promised
to get “the nod”
on anthropological constants
of “ probably nots”
being deemed too quarrelsome
top to bottom as somewhat startling
mamas’ and papas’
“Of course nots!  Now stop it!”
while running down
like tick tock tick tocks
in cubic yards...

“ In the Air “ ...

” In the Air “

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

In the air
easy on the eye
yet highly volatile
like e-commerce giants
commanding attention
nefariously nesting
in deadwood as script central
capturing turbulence
due to deceased prospects
having deadened the senses
being subjected
to ethereal developments
of blistering pyrotechnics
called, “retro echoes”...

“ It Is Early Mourning “ ...

” It Is Early Mourning “

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

It is early mourning
whistling softly
for moral support
“No, not at all
and not for long -
I’d rather see
talented people
doing something new”
debuting music
sparkling wine
thwacking drums
music for couples
loving one another
newly wonderful...

“ Clearing Their Throats” ...

” Clearing Their Throats “

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

Clearing their throats almost inaudibly
hands on foreheads in the front yard
here’s my report card with pails and mops
straw-blonde looking hard for coats of arms
worn on garments with stand-up collars
over my dead body blind beggars with guitars
strumming, “Yes Papa - Love My Mama”plucking sharply...

“ Most Everybody “ ...

” Most Everybody “

by Suzán Jiván Mom & Mom-Mom Suzán

Most everybody gets all worked up
by “I don’t know what!”
while flying in the face of custom
in a mighty public way
being treated very funnily lately
“Why is that important anyway?”
sort of like making a strawberry phosphate
in celebration of standing against a wall waiting
in anticipation of grave silences across the stage
musingly saying,  “There’s much to say
about a wedding day seated in the last
row of the congregation babies on laps
as plain as day as yet unnamed hearing
hours striking very plainly...

“ A Ghostly Authority “ ...

” A Ghostly Authority “

by Suzán Jiván
Mom & Mom-
Mom Suzán

A ghostly authority
spewing imagery
rarely leaving a mark
recoiling in horror
curators artists
overarchingly
strongest by far
uncanny oranges
influences of Brahms
held in high honor
condensed harmony
out-of-character
tragi-comedy monologues...
