Most everybody gets all worked up
by “I don’t know what!”
while flying in the face of custom
in a mighty public way
being treated very funnily lately
“Why is that important anyway?”
sort of like making a strawberry phosphate
in celebration of standing against a wall waiting
in anticipation of grave silences across the stage
musingly saying, “There’s much to say
about a wedding day seated in the last
row of the congregation babies on laps
as plain as day as yet unnamed hearing
hours striking very plainly...
