that roar and clap

becoming damaged

in a so-called slow zone
for child soldiers
as fear-maddened animals
being trapped in class actions
of stop and frisk while being
deviously disguised
by climbing bougainvillea vines
intertwining across shiny
concertina wire in a double life
of hit-and-miss patio bug killers...
