by lantern-faced
fundraisers
with insatiable
slavering fangs
as dopplegängers
just days away
from the long-awaited
Closed for renovation
wafting from a café
all in the name
of fire regulations
and reinstallations
of imagined space
with great anticipation
in an empty gray space
of bewildering states
of opiate intoxication
unmoored from self-
deprecating foundations
with waivers...
