Like a Dappled Lawn

" Like a Dappled Lawn "

by Suzán Jiván

I

Teeming with detail
what could be scarier
than pitchforks in hand?

II

Tossing off the rip-snortingly
revelatory as fidgety renderings
championing dimorphic forms

III

Unleashing splayed fingerings
of personal brandings
in small bands copying the masters

IV

Overlapping gadgetry
as a monochromatic adage
of amusing topicality

V

Disproportionately taut and haughty
but ultimately poignant
like a dappled lawn...
