It's just nostalgia
once ubiquitous
now limited
like human-
powered
watercraft
while watching
the horizon
then observing
what's left behind
like vibrating wakes
flag waving
in our eyes
and in our hair
as visceral cringes
on packing lists
sent up the road a bit
after pausing with thought
and making a corporeal
choice of assault
star-gazing
in a backyard parking lot
looking for migrant species
while remembering thinking
for the last time
this season with immediacy...
